Trapped once again, a fever that never breaks, I thought about you again today, the self hatred followed me, I never thought I'd have to feel this way, that I wouldn't stray, But now I am reflecting on a grave, that carries your name, My selfishness has haunted me, since you drew your final breath, I can't let this go, I'm supposed to be so much more, I'll never know if you ever forgave me, For letting my own life get in the way, Time slipped through my fingers as you grew cold while I was bearing a smile to the melodic melancholy that filled my chest. My mind collapsed and my rib cage caved in upon hearing of your impending fate. I was powerless and selfish as your spirit left your broken body... Death used to be my dream, it's meant for me, not my family! I'll never forgive myself for not seeing your face one more time, When I say I love you, it'll only exist on this plane, then dissipate into nothing

We're all praying, we're all hoping that our last breath fades into nothing, And when it comes to claim our life, we want it to be shared, We're trying not to die alone, so we live for the heartbeat, where our head rests, You'd rest your head on my chest, as if we were designed for one another, But I should've always known, that you'd never stay with someone as hateful as me, I'll carve my name onto a bullet, because I know one day it'll run through my mind, like you used to, I've known this for years, and as I continue on in this life, I will die alone! Will you expose me for a fraud? Will you call my bluff and reveal my facade; The only thing I believe, is that we all end up where we're supposed to, So I resign myself to my loneliness, a spark that tried to ignite my heart but turned it to ashes, Resting my head in a world that is as cold as the ice upon the glass, The absence of my heartbeat only reminds me, I've found a bigger bed just to sleep alone
